Iran has reportedly purchased 100 aircraft that have the ability to refuel 6-8 warplanes simultaneously.
The purchase of 100 Russian IL78 MKI tanker aircraft that was placed with Moscow last year is in complete defiance of the terms of the nuclear agreement between the six world powers and Iran signed in Vienna earlier this month.

“Russian Su-35 Fighter Jet Sees Export Orders Soar”
This is quite bad news for F-35. This plane SU-35 that is already MUCH,MUCH cheaper will become dirty cheap comparing to F-35 And it will be still comparable to (or even in many aspects better plane than) F-35 .

Why not?
It’s a far better aircraft in every respect than it’s nearest equivalents.
The US F-15 doesn’t come close to the Su-35.
The Sukhoi has a better radar system, better air to air missiles, is far more maneuverable, has better acceleration and better climb, and a greater range.
The only reason anyone is still buying F-15s instead is because the US government promises them satellite intelligence. They should talk to the EU representatives. If even the Europeans can’t trust the US to provide everything in a timely fashion (and they don’t), then why would anyone in the “third world”?
I knew years ago that the F-15 would be challenged by the Sukhois. I figured if Russia started offering cooperative development of a satellite program that would mitigate the US advantage, and it appears that is starting to happen.
Why on Earth would anyone not buy even an Su-27 over an Eagle? Even the 27s are better, and they’re at least 5 million cheaper. Insane.
The Eurofighter consortium people love to pretend their aircraft is more than a match for the Flanker and it’s variants too. Really?
They put out a video years back showing an EF-2000 intercepting a couple of Sukhoi Su-27s. Yes, that can happen in a slickly produced video.
In real life the Eurofighter would run into problems such as:
A delta wing (which the Typhoon has) bleeds off a LOT of speed in a hard turn.
It isn’t nearly as maneuverable at lower speeds (most air combat is not supersonic).
It can’t maintain a high angle of attack nearly as well.
Etc, etc, etc.
An honest American colonel in the late ’60s or early ’70s being interviewed by Popular Mechanics warned that the US air force “has not yet met the first team of MiG drivers”, and he was right – and that was before the Flanker and it’s variants were even developed.
The truth is that the US fighter aircraft have not even proven themselves against MiGs.
The MiG-29s that Saddam had in ’91 were all flown to Iran, along with some Sukhois. The US Air Force has never faced an air force armed with first rate Russian aircraft. Only the old stripped down versions of the MiGs that were for export… that’s the best the US has ever faced.
Russia had a third of the world’s arms market years ago and that will only go up.
And once Sukhoi builds the T-50 the US can quit pretending and pack it in. They can’t even afford to build the F-22 Raptor. The F-35 was supposed to be the F-22’s little brother, and is no match for a T-50 except in the fantasies of some US “defense” industry gadflies.
