As progressives, rallied by the Obama administration, actively work to curb Americans’ gun rights, one state has raised it’s hand and said “Stop!”
Just last Friday, Idaho announced that it would neither enforce nor abide by federal gun laws. The move was made possible by a measure introduced in the state’s House and Senate and passed unanimously by both chambers.
The law could very well be one of the most serious challenges to the federal government’s anti-gun agenda. Per the wording of the bill, Idaho law enforcement officers would face up to $1,000 in fines as well as misdemeanor charges if they enforce federal gun laws. These punitive measures will likely go a long way in discouraging Idaho LEO’s from collaborating with feds trying to enforce gun laws in the state.
Naturally, the federal government, to say nothing of this virulently anti-gun administration, is not going to be happy about a state rejecting it’s statutes regarding gun ownership and usage. Indeed, after a similar law was passed in Kansas, former Attorney General Eric Holder, a true maven of the gun control lobby, wrote a letter to Governor Brownback threatening legal action against the state over it.
Let’s hope that Idaho is able stay strong if Obama and his goons try to stop them.

Okay Alabama, time to follow Idaho’s example.
If one thinks Washington D.C. will ever fix all of itself, keep dreaming! I’m not saying that it has not been attempted, it has. Corrupted individuals, even the slightest, when gathered together with plunder in mind, the results are proof!
There is the State of Alabama, which doesn’t see the the S.C. case rulings as a change in the law. Which they are correct. Just because a S.C. makes a ruling on a case, does not mean that the law changes automatically. It doesn’t. The original law still exists. Remember, only agreed upon legislation changes law. The Congress can and should determine what kind of cases that the S.C. can hear. It has the power to do that.
The S.C. has absolutely zero power to change or make law! So their ruling is NOT law, it is just a ruling. If a citizen(s) and or (a) State(s) do not see that as a changed “law”, because it didn’t change. There are certain powers that governments are only allowed to have.
Hard to read your damn article with all the F#*%kin pop up.
David Grussing do you feel the same about the states nullifying federal law in regard to drugs? Or are you a hypocrite?
Those trying to tout the supremacy of federal law need to realize that Idaho is not nullifying federal law. They are stating that they simply will not enforce it. I believe that is what your Obama calls “discretion.” So eat it.
Good for Idaho, the last time we drove to the “left coast” and needed to travel with legal firearms locked unloaded in the trunk. As soon as we crossed into Idaho it was like. “Welcome home, we are back in AMERICA.”
Every state should do this. Obama is not a king,he is only a president we have laws that can protect us against a dictatorship. We must use them
Stand up against a traitor dictator – we are AMERICANS and darn proud of it!
