Chicago has set a record this past September, and not one to brag about. Since 2002, this record has not been matched until now. Fifty-nine murders and 362 gunshot victims occurred in the city with the strictest gun laws in the nation.
The Tribune reported that there were two consecutive weekends where more than 50 people were shot in September and August had more than 40 shootings every weekend.

….. People go to the streets for guns…. You really think every gun is brought in from somewhere else? There have been more stabbing deaths than shooting deaths in America shall we pass strict knife laws? Btw do you trust your government enough to be at it’s mercy? Are you one of those it can’t happen in America fools or will you just allow yourself and your family to live under martial law?
“Baby What a Big Surprise” always mellowed me out, never sent me into a homicidal frenzy.
Sweep it under the rug!
The bigger the city, the more crooked and pathetic the leadership.
Geeeee … How Has THAT BEEN WORKING OUT FOR THEM … https://www.facebook.com/dan.metcalf2
Where do those street guns come from? Like I said, if you want to have a rational discussion then have one and don’t get into the cars, hammers, swimming pool stuff or the government conspiracy theories. The discussion is about guns. People are seeing guns being used to attack schools on the news. Keep the focus on the subject at hand or the against argument will win.
Eventually they will get confiscated. There are gun buy back programs that have worked well too. With gun laws bullets will be harder to come also. You won’t get every gun but it’ll help.
So really what you’re saying is, people aren’t obeying the laws. So let’s say the entire country bans civilian ownership of guns, does murder stop? Do shootings stop? Of course not, let’s just look at the gangs who deal drugs for income, if cartels can bring pallet quantities of drugs into the U.S., couldn’t they just throw a couple thousand guns into the shipments? Not to mention the fact that no one, not even the U.S. Military would be able to confiscate the estimated 300 million privately owned firearms in this country! Australia had a mandatory turn in and they estimate they recovered one third of their countries privately owned guns (650,000).
I’m not saying we should ban guns. You should probably read some of my comments instead of making assumptions.
And let me know how the cartels grow handguns like drugs. That takes precision engineering.
And do you really believe that roughly 90 million legal gun owners, many of whom believe to their core that the Constitution ensures our Right to armed against tyranny, would just gladly turn in our guns?
