Chicago has set a record this past September, and not one to brag about. Since 2002, this record has not been matched until now. Fifty-nine murders and 362 gunshot victims occurred in the city with the strictest gun laws in the nation.
The Tribune reported that there were two consecutive weekends where more than 50 people were shot in September and August had more than 40 shootings every weekend.

The facts show that in cities where they go to “shall issue” carry permits, crime rates drop. Not NRA propaganda, FBI facts. Also, gun sales (esp during Obummer’s presidency) have been at all time high, and the percentage of violent crime has been on a downward trend for years.
Chicago along with other large cities has gang problems, drug problems etc, and taking guns away from law abiding citizens will have no affect on criminals. And for the idiots who believe banning guns will make them evaporate, a guy with a rented truck, a bunch of fertilizer and diesel fuel committed one of the largest mass murders in our countries history. Evil doers will carry out evil acts regardless of the tools chosen. For me, I’d rather be armed and my family armed, with a chance to defend ourselves if need be!
