A man broke into a home in Winter Haven, Florida, was met by a family of three, all armed. The man was shot dead almost immediately.
The father, mother, and son heard the man trying to break into the back door. They fired off a warning shot, but the would-be burglar was undettered. The burglar made it to the kitchen, where he was shot dead by all the members of the family, who would have been otherwise powerless to protect their home and their lives.
No mention of this event has been made by anyone on the Left, as it would only serve to make guns look like the tools of protection that they are. Anything that makes guns look like the culprit in the crime makes it, but a family defending themselves is not worthy to be mentioned by the likes of Rachel Maddow or Anderson Cooper.
Find out more about the shooting on page 2.
Very good point. And well said.
Thanks, Wendy. Never knew that this would become a vital necessity to keep the family safe
Shouldn’t fire any warning shots they know what they are doing is wrong and made the choice.
A heart-warming tale of human triumph
Good job one more murderer an thief gone.
Try to think about how many people arrive to their destinations compare to how many die for nothing in all automobiles and you will see how ridiculous your comment is comparing only one armed family. And in that case what would you have done?
So, when a person is dead, you can kill him even more? The NRA Is representative of more than 1,000,000 law abiding citizens and their position is “When someone invades a home to commit crimes, he puts himself in danger and those inside have the right to use as much force as they can expect the invader may use. If you don’t want to be shot, be responsible and don’t break in.
He got exactly what he asked for ,just remember give the son of a$#%&!@*the cou de gra through the head then he wont be able to sue you for shooting an innocent tresspasser.
Lesson learned break in house, you get killed!
Like I said the article is vague and doesn’t provide much detail. Some people are filling in the gaps with their imagination of with what they want to believe. It doesn’t say if he was someone they knew or had some dealings with in the past. It doesn’t say if he was armed. It says they said they fired a warning shot but he didn’t stop. That sounds strange to me. Did they see a weapon? Did they verbally confront him as they should have done before blasting away with three guns like at OK corral? Was he actually an intruder intending harm? Hard to say based on this poorly written piece. Most of the time newspaper stories that are worth their salt have answers to all these questions. These are just a few of the gaping holes in this story. Based on the sketchiness of this article it’s irresponsible in my view to have posted it. I’m all for people protecting themselves and their property, with force if necessary, and I don’t disagree with the NRA’s position on this but this story looks very suspect to me. It’s a poor example and not one to cheer about. I am not anti gun and I don’t advocate taking guns away from law abiding citizens or preventing them from owning one.
