Chicago Puerto Ricans Stand With Palestine
by La Respuesta • July 21, 2014
On July 20, 2014 over 10,000 people rallied and marched against Israel’s invasion of Gaza in Chicago. At press time, the death toll of Palestinians is 375, most of which are women and children.
A contingent of National Boricua Human Rights Network-Chicago Chapter and the Puerto Rican community participated in solidarity with the Palestinian people, with former Boricua political prisoner Edwin Cortés speaking at the rally (video clip below).
La Respuesta officially supports the liberation of Palestine in accordance with the last line of our mission statement: “La Respuesta is dedicated to the collective transformation and self-determination of all people.”
Be sure to read La Respuesta‘s special coverage from INSIDE Palestine on our blog, Aywa, Wepa.
