Our constitution was effectively re-written once again this week, as a group of liberal judges on the Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals decided that the right to gun ownership in public is not protected by the constitution. It makes one wonder, if judges think that the ability to carry a gun isn’t a constitutional right, what does the Second Amendment protect?
This ruling is further proof of the dire need this country has for conservative judge appointments, and no sitting Governor seems more aware of this than Texas Governor Greg Abbott.
In a tweet attacking the senseless conceal carry decision, Abbott leveled a clear threat, “come and get it.”
Unfortunately for the Governor, state executives and legislators are being stripped of their rights to create and enforce the laws in their own states. Instead, activist judges have decided to grant themselves lawmaking power in order to push their personal agendas.

Yep. They are finally coming to get your guns. Even have a date set: Tuesday Nov 8 2016. What ever do, we much guard our arsenals that day. Nothing else matters.
Well James Whyte. If the teachers at Sandy Hook had been armed, just maybe there would be a lot more of those children alive today.
Why should Congress be a gun free zone? or the political conventions? or the Supreme Court? or sporting events?
Let them give up their guns, that they claim is for self defence.
And really? “Even in the cowboy days, people checked their gun at city gate”??!!! No wonder you’re screwed up. You need to stop believing what Hollywood tells you. You do know they make that c**p up don’t you?
Why isn’t he running for president?!!!!! I like his” not going to be bullied” attitude!!
and when an armed teacher sees a janitor in the hall but confuses him with a bad guy and opens fire killing children or an angry student takes the teachers gun and holds a class hostage..YOU can tell the parents about how having guns in schools is a good idea… It is one of the most offensive, stupid ideas we have read here… thank God. very few people think that way. You should apologize to those folks in Connecticut.
They probably will get them after they drop bombs on us, we won’t care after that
Ernest yes I understand the process. But Texas is not the big bad pro gun state we think we are. And even thought they can’t afford the permit doesn’t mean they don’t have a gun. Maybe they fell on hard times, maybe they were broke but made a gun a priority over a phone. I’m just sayin and I know you agree is we should not have to pay to exercise our 2nd amendment right to protect us and our families. After all I’m sure the guy trying to rob us with a gun doesn’t have a permit but he carrying a gun.
I have been wanting to move to Texas. Unfortunately, I am on the organ transplant list for a kidney and moving to Texas would mean restarting the entire process and going to the back of the line.
Getting out of the People’s Republic of Oregon will be a good thing, if I live long enough to make it!
