The State of Georgia has filed a lawsuit against the owner of the website Public.Resource.org for – brace yourself – publishing state laws online.
Within the lawsuit, Carl Malamud is being labeled a ‘terrorist’ by the state of Georgia for posting an annotated version of the entire state body of law.
Under what guise is Georgia suing? This gets even more offensive…

Wow, in the State of Oregon old laws are still on the books that would blow your mind, they would probably jail me if I posted them, some are so heanous they are laughable but left there to protect state officials if they needed to use them, the public surely can’t use them..
