This video details how to make a super-efficient water heater thermo siphoning process. Not only are all the parts he uses cheap or free discards, the project does not need electricity or solar power.
To match this video you will need:
Copper Tubing
Stove Pipe
Water heater
Valves
And of course, water and something to burn.
See the process video after the break and then get started on your own source of endless hot water:
This works. Did it when I lived in ct. I never got to use it for the house because we were renting but the experiment worked just fine
Heat your water and make moonshine at the same time. YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.
so, does your wife chop the wood for you to take a shower?
It says generate endless hot water and one of the required items is a water heater. Sorry, but that’s not just not impressive it’s just plain dumb.
Tracy Girlinghouse , I’m sure it works well but have you done the math on the payback ( how long it takes you to get back initial payout in reduced gas cost )
Its used for OFF the grid, OFF the propane delivery truck or for emergencies. The waterheater is for storage only! Its damned impressive!
You use the hot water heater as an insulated tank, nothing more. It keeps the water hot for hours after the fire goes out. What is dumb about it?
Basically an uninsulated, wood burning tea kettle with a hot water heater as a reservoir. I’m sure it works to keep recirculation water within the tank hot-ish, but once you introduce a load with a reasonable flow rate, the tank will quickly cool quickly and the teeny, inefficient wood heat source will never keep up. Enjoy the shower.
I like all the tree hugger comments. “BURN ALL THE WOOD”! Lol. Using dead wood dumas. It’s a simple concept. Take from it what you can and make it better. And to the ones that say “Oh I’ll just use the microwave”.lmao! Your the ones that think milk just comes from the store. Survival of the fittest.
This is not practial. It works, but to be useful, it needs to be pressurized numeber 1, and the hot water temp needs to be regulated number 2, bpth which take electricity. Easier to heat a bucket of water over the same fire.
I bought one of these years ago, they were common in the early 1900’s, cast iron jacket, cast iron leg stand.
