This video details how to make a super-efficient water heater thermo siphoning process. Not only are all the parts he uses cheap or free discards, the project does not need electricity or solar power.
To match this video you will need:
Copper Tubing
Stove Pipe
Water heater
Valves
And of course, water and something to burn.
See the process video after the break and then get started on your own source of endless hot water:
so, let me see… I don’t need electricity, gas or solar, but I do need a water heater, copper tubing, etc, then some wood and I have to chop and cut it up to fit into that little hole and then I have to light and tend the fire for quite a while to heat those 40 gallons and in an hour or so I might be able to take a shower – if I have hooked this thing up to my regular water system, otherwise I am taking the shower out in my yard, which might be fine if I am not shy or it isn’t cold and why am I doing this?
ok soooooooo we need a water heater to make hot water?…lmao
This isnt impressive haha that’s how we did it back in Mexico and we were no engineers haha
My dad had this in our house growing up. Any water thatvwent into the hot water heater ran through our wood stove 1st. Pretty much boiling water suppliedbthe heater. He also had the heat from the wood stove piped into our furnance. When that got hot enough the blowers kicked on and distributed it through the registers. Pretty smart for an old man
he looks like estes???
Yup. That’s how my hot tub work. 😉
Your going to hurt the guys feelings be nice everybody.
I think he just informing people. I haven’t seen anything posted by the peanut gallery…
It s a nice fast way, but I can also just heat a few gallons in my huge steel pot and mix with cold to do dishes. I would really be careful about picking up anyone’s old dis guarded water heaters. They got rid of them for a reason and it might not be safe to use them. But I am sure if you know what you are doing this would work. Little above and beyond when a pot is much easier. But hey, to each their own?
You can do pretty much the same thing with wrapping copper coil of wire around the exhaust pipe of a wood burner or pellet stove ……any pipe that gets hot and running it to your regular hot water heater. In the summer you can do it with a garden hose instead. A black garden hose will produce water that will nearly scald you.
