This video details how to make a super-efficient water heater thermo siphoning process. Not only are all the parts he uses cheap or free discards, the project does not need electricity or solar power.
To match this video you will need:
Copper Tubing
Stove Pipe
Water heater
Valves
And of course, water and something to burn.
See the process video after the break and then get started on your own source of endless hot water:
It is viable for an off grid situation

Once you got the water hot, it could stay hot up to 24 hrs. if you had the tank well insulated as well. Unless you have a teenager that takes a 2 hr. shower.
AWESOME!!
all i got to say is,”wow”, at all the negativity,it’s an idea that can be improved on,but is a good starting point
It’s an inventive solution that would benefit some people for sure. Although I like the idea of using hot compost to heat water better since it provides long term heat without combustion so there’s no air pollution, it locks up carbon rather than reducing it and you have a very useable end product. It provides 130-150 degree water fairly steadily for a long period of time without much attention.
