This video details how to make a super-efficient water heater thermo siphoning process. Not only are all the parts he uses cheap or free discards, the project does not need electricity or solar power.
To match this video you will need:
Copper Tubing
Stove Pipe
Water heater
Valves
And of course, water and something to burn.
See the process video after the break and then get started on your own source of endless hot water:
Hhhmmmm.
My brother had a German DKW car in the 60’s that didn’t have a water pump…it used the hot water rises principle; it did have large diameter radiator hoses.
Stupid to show people this. Most people are stupid anyway, go ahead a make it and and don’t forget to cap it when your done. BOOM!
There is a much cheap and easier way. It’s a pot over a fire. Been used for centuries works awesome!
40 gallons, that’s really good considering it takes longer to boil a pot over fire that will produce a quart in about 10 minutes! A family of four, if the water main or grid was broke could use this indefinitely. I don’t find people criticizing this guy very intelligent given how vulnerable the water system is not to mention the efficiency this has over a “pot over a fire”- try taking a shower with just one pot of hot water and find out!
Someone’s gonna get it real bad playing with steam.
When I was in real estate, I sold a house that had a wood water heater and it still worked just fine. 🙂
solar is most definately the BETTER and SAFER option. LOL this guy is going to have people burning their houses down! or even worse? burning THEMSELVES if they aren’t REALLY CAREFUL. maybe if this were like your ONLY option of getting hot water would i do something this macguyver. but otherwise? save your own ass and get a solar panel.
*sigh* what exactly do you think an oil burner does? Yes, no electricity or solar power needed… it you’re heating your house with electric heat: sorry for your loss. Convert to natural gas or oil, both are cheaper… because they use coils like this when burning their fuel.
This is not new.
So, you need a gas heater…. To make heat.
Who woulda thunk?
