A former Marine, Kevin Wood, was recently banned from his daughter’s school, La Plata High School in La Plata, Maryland because he got into a heated discussion with the vice principal over a school lesson on Islam.
The lesson required students to list the benefits of Islam, which Wood objected to.
“I have witnesses that have said I did not threaten anybody,” Woods stated. “I don’t force my religious views on them, so don’t force your religious views on me.”

They won’t do the same for Christianity, or any other religion. Although I don’t agree with Freedom From Religion Foundation, which attacks Christianity often, this is the same type of situation they’ve been fighting for, and should apply equally to Islam as it would Christianity. I would pull my child from the school and homeschool.
I would pull my child out of a school teaching this….that is the business or parent and church.
Something very wrong here if the school personnel will not listen to a parent.

When they ban a father from any school, they then have to and should spell the school with these letters “sGool”! And yes rename the (school) “sGool”!
I think any parent has the right to object to any curriculum offered to their children in their school;also,I think that the parent has the right to ask that their children not be involved with the teaching of curriculum that they object to.If that curriculum is required of the students for credit to advance and graduate,then I believe optional/substituted curriculum should be mad available to the student to meet the school’s requirements fo
