Much of the reaction to the firing of FBI Director James Comey by President Donald Trump has been predictable. With the Democrats desperate for any reason to damage or obstruct the president, we are getting their typical reaction. They are calling for investigations, claiming the this amounts to obstruction of justice by the Trump administration, and are calling for the impeachment and removal of President Trump himself.
This is all very ironic in that Hillary Clinton, enabled by the corrupt Obama administration, committed a whole array of offenses, this mishandling of which by Mr. Comey is part of the reason he is out of a job.
As the fallout from the president’s decision to fire the FBI director continues, it can be a relief from the histrionics to get a more dispassionate evaluation of the situation from someone who has served in the FBI and who thus can offer an insider’s view of the matter.
More on page two.

I’m not sure even Trump has the nerve to.prosecute Hillary. It needs to be done if respect for the law is to return otherwise the country is on a downward slide.
Keith O Westphal did he work for a tax firm or the clinton foundation?
Shawn Fogarty The Breitbart story The article went so far as to note that James once lent his brother money for a home mortgage but didn’t provide any remotely credible explanation for how a loan between siblings would suggest any form of wrongdoing.
a big pile of steamy CUVFEFE
So true so true
A “thorough investigation…saw nothing in the evidence that was indictable…”, but, he didn’t see ALL of the evidence!
After a Preservation of Documents Order and Subpoena of Documents was issued, servers and devices were wiped, intentionally.
Comey responded by afforded immunity deals that included specific immunity from destruction of evidence-watch oversight hearing testimony for validation of this.
Comey said he didn’t call for a grand just because he “knew there was NO evidence of a crime…”, but the fact that Comey enabled a destruction of evidence was quickly pointed out.
Can there be an obstruction of justice charge when no obstruction happened? Trump makes (allegedly) his “I hope you can let this go…” statement. Comey ignores it.
AG Lynch directs Comey to deceive the public and congressional committee by using Clinton campaign euphemism, “a matter” instead of the truth: a criminal investigation. Comey submits to this direction, admitting that he knew it was wrong.
Comey knew there would be no legitimate criminal investigation in to the Clinton email server. He knew he’d lose his job if he did not go along with this hanky version of an investigation. He played along with THAT obstruction of justice.
He took NO notes, didn’t memorialize THAT event with AG Lynch and unanticipated in an deceptive tactic.
Immunity deals (immunity from destruction after it occurred), intentional destruction of subpoenaed evidence, subject of investigation in the room during testimony of OTHER subjects, no indictments?
I HOPE this Clinton email server investigation is reopened and while we won’t ever be able to recover the destroyed evidence, there IS plenty of evidence to charge someone with destruction of evidence! Those immunity deals should be stripped! They were as hanky add the investigation was!
They should all be frightened. Frauds.
I hope the new FBI director straightens all this out and brings integrity back to the Bureau.
Two peas in a pod! Chop down the bush! Drain the swamp!
Poor Desisto Nick I think he needs his safespace and some Play-Doh
