President Theodore Roosevelt, also a Republican, signed a bill that banned practicing Muslims from entering the United States after he won the election in 1904. He won that election with 336 electoral votes, 190 more than his challenger, Alton B. Parker.
Sure, times have changed in the past hundred years, but polling data suggests that Trump’s ban, even in its most controversial form, is supported by the majority of the United States. It’s another fact that the mainstream media conveniently forgets when attacking the President’s actions.

As per our first amendment ( freedom of speech, press, and RELIGION, for those of you here who “dont know their us history”) it is illegal to deny entry to this country based on someones religious beliefs. Before in the past we have owned black slaves, and imprisoned all of those who are of Japanese descent. We have poisoned our own citizens to encourage alcohol prohibition, and abducted us citizens and tortured, raped, and drugged them to study the effects on the mind. Just because our country has done wrong in the past, does not justify wrong in the future. Its about time this country lived up to the guide lines it set out for itself.
