The leftist media would have you believe that Donald Trump is too reactionary, too racist, and too xenophobic to be president. Unfortunately for liberals, history is at odds with their claims.
President Theodore Roosevelt, also a Republican, signed a bill that banned practicing Muslims from entering the United States after he won the election in 1904. He won that election with 336 electoral votes, 190 more than his challenger, Alton B. Parker.
Sure, times have changed in the past hundred years, but polling data suggests that Trump’s ban, even in its most controversial form, is supported by the majority of the United States. It’s another fact that the mainstream media conveniently forgets when attacking the President’s actions.
See details on Roosevelt’s implicit ban on the next page:

That’s because they are stupid.
I’m sure many readers here would love to reverse the last 100 years. Sorry but I’m going to ride in the front of the bus.
They were recognized for being no Goddam good and a danger to America them and still are today but Obama continues to import them . Everyone must maintain a good supply of guns and ammunition as this will only be solved by the people of this country .
With respect, according to this article Roosevelt was going after polygamy which, in the net that was cast, included some Muslims. Some Muslim countries forbid the practice so under his proposal those immigrants would be allowed to enter unless some other reason prevented it.
Roosevelt never called for an outright ban on all of them, nor did he call for a ban on immigrants from those countries. He didn’t call for a ban on immigrants from other countries who accepted Muslim immigrants. He certainly never called for a loyalty test for Muslim immigrants who are now citizens. All of these things Mr. Trump has proposed.
With a modicum of analysis this comparison falls apart.
Incidentally, the author of this article makes a another misstep. To try to somehow align Trump with TR because of party has no basis in reality. Roosevelt was a progressive even by today’s standards and would make many in today’s Republican party apoplectic. Further, he was one of the countries most intellectually curious presidents. He read several books a day and was a very accomplished author. Sadly, Mr. Trump has not demonstrated nearly the same intellectual vigor. Indeed, through the course of the campaign, to me Mr. Trump has demonstrated quite the opposite.
Until this election, I was a reliable Republican in membership and voting. Mr. Trump’s nomination has changed that.
Obama not only handed his country over to the enemy, but he FORCED the enemy upon its citizens, all while shaking his fist at God.
It was ok then why not now
Then Obama beings them here on purpose.
TRUMP 2016
What happened to the ban. We got soft.
Parents, homeschool your children, regardless of the sacrifice it requires! There are many excellent choices, including online and no cost, which means accessibility to everyone. Your children deserve to know the truth about the good that is the USA (obviously, no one and no country is 100% error free, but America has given more freedom and economic liberty to more people than any other nation, and the Left wants to destroy her)
