The government of Angola has been accused of “banning Islam” by the Islamic Community of Angola (ICA) after authorities closed down all but a few unlicensed mosques in the capital city of Luanda.
There are legal penalties for women who wear the iconic veil and social pressure from both government authorties and private citizens for Muslims to leave the country. Angola does not recognize Islam as an Angolan religion as there are not enough Muslims to meet the required 100,000 members or presence in 12 of 18 provinces.
The government of Angola justified their policies, saying that Islam is an “invasion of Angolan culture and a threat to Christian values.” Muslims have been asked to tear down their own mosques under threat of paying for the demolition fees. The Angolan government has also denied that is has tried to ban Islam, stating that “there is no position that targets the destruction or closure of places of worship.”

Even with the use of the “green card” the ultimate goal was citizenship, which many refuse to do, so they are still illegal. The laws governing refugees still supersedes the immigration act simply because they are “refugees”. While it may be permissible to allow entry based on the hardships of war in that country, it is considered an act of treason to permit refugees from a country which we are engaged in conflict (war). By law, these refugees are not to be allowed, and Obama still insists on going against the laws of the Constitution and keeping the country he swore to protect and defend in jeopardy. Common sense dictates that the admission of the refugees at this time could prove deadly when they’ve proven what they are capable of time and again. There is no desire in these people to live peacefully here, become a citizen or follow American laws, and even by the standards of the immigration bills past and present, makes them unsuitable for entry.
