Even though Wal-Mart is a colossal money maker, it barely pays it’s workers enough to live comforably, forcing employees to go on food stamps, Medicaid and other social welfare programs.
Wal-Mart pulls in $36 million dollars per hour – being the largest seller of food in the world. Yet, they don’t take care of their employees.
Through your tax dollars you are, in essence, handing a Wal-Mart cashier your money but not even getting so much as an empty bag in return.

Boycott walmart
why does this surprise you , they are a big money supporter of a certain president , theres a list of those that supported him , which all get welfare from him as payback
I think the problem is not where you shop it’s buying what you can’ afford.
This is a lie! The federal government doesn’t give Wal-Mart a dime.
This is CRAZY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Oh! The outrage! Are you people kidding me? You didn’t know this? This applies to so many corporations…
With Wal-Marts’ low profit margin, they would go out of business and their employees would end up on full blown unemployment/welfare.
This is why we should be able to claim them on our taxes as a dependent!!
Yep, I once worked for Walmart, aka Wallyworld, and yes, like most chain stores, they pay pittance wages, but also provide some good company benefits to go along with it. With that said- it is why working in a retail chain store, or food chain store like McDonalds is not something one should strive for as a career, unless of course you are the company senior management. You must get a good education, and or some quality trade skills to be successful, not just survive.
This is a crock. Back when I worked at Wally World minimum wage was $5.25/hr and I made $8.50/hr…my ex gf made $10/hr and I know SEVERAL employees today who earn $10 plus at WalMart.
