Even though Wal-Mart is a colossal money maker, it barely pays it’s workers enough to live comforably, forcing employees to go on food stamps, Medicaid and other social welfare programs.
Wal-Mart pulls in $36 million dollars per hour – being the largest seller of food in the world. Yet, they don’t take care of their employees.
Through your tax dollars you are, in essence, handing a Wal-Mart cashier your money but not even getting so much as an empty bag in return.

If the lines get long at my walmart there is someone there directing people to open registers.
Shut down Walmart.
Not that I do, but it’s very apparent it’s not that easy in this society to move up with hard work. If you or I have been able to do, that doesn’t mean that everyone has been given the opportunities have. Imagine you’re growning up in the hood with a p**s poor excuse for an education coming to school everyday afraid you might get shot going home to your studio apartment where 5 other family members live too. Do you really think that you’d be motivated to succeed and get into a university and do better than the honest living one makes at Walmart? I’m not sure either of us could say for sure, but I sincerely doubt it. At least the people working their asses off at this “entry level job” aren’t out there committing violent crimes. Walmart is the one who needs to improve, not the honest people just making their way.
If you or I have been able to, that doesn’t mean everyone has been given the opportunities we have*
What is this? A story from just the prosecutions side? My son started working at Walmart while he was in high school. First job ever, no experience in anything and working part time. He started at $11 an hr.. Not bad for a first time job while in school. He is now in college full time and still works there part time. He tells me that most of the people that work there are part time or too old to be able to do their job correctly. There are usually more than three people on any given day that don’t show up and don’t call. There are some that call in sick once or twice a month. The turnover is horrendous at Walmart. You know who stays? The old people who can’t properly do their job and the very few hourly kids that respect the fact that they have an opportunity to make a buck while still in school. If Walmart gave every employee a dollar raise, there would be no or very little profit. Not to mention that they donate millions to local communities. If you are part time in just about any business, you don’t get full time benefits. I’m not a big fan of Walmart, but they should at least point out some facts from the other side of the story.
The blood suckers actually show their employees where and how to sign up for these programs .
STOP
Sure. Just quit, get some skills and move on. Sounds easy to you doesn’t it? Or does if sound as silly in my words as yours do?
Go back to school. So what? Move into your grandma’s house til you get your diploma? People work at ANY job not necessarily out if choice, but to have a job. People like you should at least give them that. And the respect they deserve for seeking and gaining employment
Your missing the point Walmart is growing out of control and it wouldn’t be a problem if the employees were treated well and they had proper American business practices but they don’t. If you’ve ever worked in a Walmart the way you get promoted is an awful lot like a dictatorship. The most heartless and least tied to human compassion get promoted all the while they are acting like customer satisfaction comes first… One of many reasons Walmart either needs to get knocked down a peg or new labor laws need to be out in order. Smart ones not impulsive ones.
No hell no
