Even though Wal-Mart is a colossal money maker, it barely pays it’s workers enough to live comforably, forcing employees to go on food stamps, Medicaid and other social welfare programs.
Wal-Mart pulls in $36 million dollars per hour – being the largest seller of food in the world. Yet, they don’t take care of their employees.
Through your tax dollars you are, in essence, handing a Wal-Mart cashier your money but not even getting so much as an empty bag in return.

Jerry Kauffman, your thought process is colossal c**p. So you think someone who is making $10 an hour at Wal-Mart will automatically be like an engineer making over $100k a year if Wal-Mart didn’t exist? Give me a break. No…they’ll be in a similar type job making a similar wage collecting similar government benefits as they were before. You only attack Wal-Mart because it’s the cool liberal thing to do. Use your head and at least a limited amount of common sense please.
The government shouldn’t pay them a dime
I also worked at Walmart and I made $2 more per hour than I made at a security guard agency guarding Walmarts, I don’t see the problem. The minimum wage is paid at any place when you start, but you can work yourself up to better wages.
Corporate welfare!
Hell no
Many others working at jobs elsewhere collecting from the government. Has nothing to do with Walmart. One young mother where I work only wants minimal hours because she doesn’t want to lose what she is collecting from our government. I do not agree with her decision.
Why?
Doesn’t surprise me
Cut them off. Greedy$#%&!@*Walmart don’t need the money
This is insane!
