Even though Wal-Mart is a colossal money maker, it barely pays it’s workers enough to live comforably, forcing employees to go on food stamps, Medicaid and other social welfare programs.
Wal-Mart pulls in $36 million dollars per hour – being the largest seller of food in the world. Yet, they don’t take care of their employees.
Through your tax dollars you are, in essence, handing a Wal-Mart cashier your money but not even getting so much as an empty bag in return.

This is misleading in that the money is NOT paid toWalmart, it is welfare and food stamps being paid to Walmart employees. In essence, he is saying Walmart should be forced to raise their salaries so they would not be on welfare and food stamps. Walmart is not the only company that falls into this category. Then, on the other hand, people who shop there do so because it’s what they can afford. If salaries are raised, the price of everything in the store goes up and is then out of reach for those who depend upon them. It’s a vicious circle.
