BUT that only works UNTIL YOU HIT ROCK. In the midwest we have lots of rock not far down and you can’t drill through rock with a pipe by hand.
Also, 50 feet is a SHALLOW well in most locations and the water can be contaminated by chemicals on the land above it and the volume per minute will not have much pressure. You could feed your animals but not sure how long it would take to fill a bath tub………..
You would also need to know how to attach the screens to keep sediment from clogging the pipes and enter the pipes to come out the faucet and then there is attaching the pump…………….running the power to run the pump………….etc

That’s all ‘well’ and fine. But what do you do AFTER that hole is in the ground? How do you lay your bricks or built the actual well?

Dennis N Annie, I’m sure you could find out if you did some research! You put casing down the hole and buy a solar pump, run pipe to a faucet and hook-up to house water pipes…with a few other important steps!
