I had well water, it smells bad tastes funny and stains your clothes. Ruins the inside of dishwashers and turned my washer orange. I could not wear white for an entire decade.
We have a 205 foot deep well. Water is delicious but hard. Lots of mineral deposits on appliances. Need a water softener but too expensive. Have a silt filter, though.
Lived on artesian well water, cleanest around, my first 21 years.

Even if you succeed he doesn’t tell how you would go about getting water out and testing if it is good to drink.
