Some places you can do this, then you have some places that have to much rock to get this to work.
A lot of positive and negative feedback. Simply do a little research on geology before you take on this project. Their are several regions that do have shallow water bearing aquifers. He is simply trying to give free education on how to obtain those shallow aquifers IF available. If you live where rock is encountered there are ways to hand drill through rock. By more research you can find theses ways of drilling through rock it’s called the want of self reliance Drilling is no easy task by no means, especially by manual labor. where their is no rock formations encountered, and the aquifers are fairly shallow this method can work. We installed a well by hand 187′ for an older gentleman, just because he wanted his grandson to know how it was done because one day his grandson might have to do it himself. Now would drilling with machine be easier, of course. I read a comment about poisoning, if everyone knew what was coming out of your community water tap you would not even put your hands in it, much less give it to your kids. Fact over 40% of America is drinking their very own sewer water, filtered and reintroduced into the public water supply. Proven fact – a property installed water well is the safest water on the planet. Knowledge
Did a lot of research on this and it appears to work for shallow wells but wells (ok for watering but not typically good for drinking) of any depth have a tendency to collapse wasting your efforts and the equipment becomes so heavy that it becomes impossible to manage. Good idea though.
Im pretty sure PVC isnt going to go through rock.
The Gov’t will tax you on your water usage! They are doing so in western states already!
Excuse me Flora, I think this was put out there for future Survival reasons when our Over Spending and Taxing Goverment Collapses. One must know how to drill a simple well and I don’t believe it will be practical to do the drilling in a ROCKY Desert area however. Notice the trees in the back ground, that usually means water is close to surface.
Dennis Nail Ive done this. In the ville you can hit water at 9 feet. I drove a pipe 21 feet and can’t pump it dry. It has 11 feet of water standing all the time.
Some areas require authorization before drilling.
