So your telling me I need a well to dig a well? how does this work if you don’t have a source water?
Great idea, although very unrealistic. You drill for water because you will most likely hit rock.

Research the geology of your area along with state laws concerning permits and registration of water wells. Failure to do so will result in high costs and possible court date. Yeah, I know that all just sucks. I am retired from water well drilling and have worked all aspects of the business. Good luck should you try to drill your own well.

Have to check with your local and state government first. Odds are, you need to be licensed and have a permit to drill a well. I know I couldn’t do it here in Ohio, nor would I want too.
