What about rock ledges, like in New England? What about poisonous minerals like Nevada (RADIATION TOO I lived less than 50 miles from nuclear test sites). In Florida now, but don’t want to create a sinkhole by drilling in the wrong spot. Plus 2 types of wells here. Shallow wells (12 to 50) ft deep can be ok, or can be full of sulfer, copper and other minerals as well as run off of sewage and fertilizer. Best to drill into the Florida aquifer which varies in depth greatly. Yes sometimes you find it in 12 ft but other places it’s much further down,, Surface wells not always fit to drink.
Can’t around here. Too many mines. Water no good.
Not smart for drinking use shallow wells leach all sorts of pesticides etc. some don’t filter easily
On a side note it is done around here by cheaper plant and nurseries for plant irrigation.
Don’t drill where they are fracking either. You might be able to light your tap water
They can in Pavillion, WY.
I have done this to put in a ground rod for an electric fence. It went fairly fast
