What do you do if you hit ledge?
when we bought our place in 1981 it had a deep well (country living, there was no “city water”. 20 or so yrs later, water came in our area. we got on, but after a few months we had them come take the meter out. bad water and sky rocketing prices. we love our well. have never had a minutes trouble.
As long as u don’t use schedule 40 PVC to do it as it is toxic and not for potable water use and this looks like schedule 40 PVC
Are not all homes these days plumbed with schedule 40?
Question; how high is ur water bill when done….
IMHO, it’s better to use a well point, and galvanized pipe. In sand, gravel, and clay, it’s not that difficult to drive a well with a fence post driver and your own muscles. Been there done that. No need to keep pulling it out. Just keep driving until you get a couple feet or so of near free fall, then pull it up a bit and attach your pump. We used an old fashioned pitcher pump. Not recommended in high population or industrial areas, but neither is living there.

the local city government will stop by to fill it in. It’s all about government control.
The only thing schedule 40 is used for is drainage period it should never be used for water consumption it leeches out very toxic substances Polly vinyl chloride. Is toxic only use on drainage you can use pex piping which is a form of plastic piping safe for drinking water That’s what is being installed in new homes and it’s way cheaper that copper with better thermal expansion.
