There is a big difference between ground water and water from drilling into the bedrock. Ground water is all the water that infiltrated the ground from surround areas which can contain contaminants and disease. If you do a group water well it should ONLY be used for landscaping!

Unless you drive a casing, this is a good way to contaminate ground water supplies from c**p that may be on the surface you don’t know about.
