There are health codes for a reason , like having to have a license issued from the state so you don’t contaminate an aquifer!!

I’ve seen my grandfather do that when I was a kid, but I think he used a steel pipe like you make a fence post and I don’t recall there being any water hoses involved but I could be mistaken about that
Hmm twenty foot surface seal is required by law to keep contaminits out of the aquifer , a licensed well driller to make sure it’s properly drilled , and you definitely want to be careful about the water you drink why assume that whatever you pump out of that “well” is good for you, ask me how I know?
