Up north this would be much more difficult, and in some places impossible. You would have to rent a high pressure, high volume pump to create enough force to jet with.

This video has been out for a LONG time. It is not intended to show how to drill your own well for potable water, only for irrigation. It does not go deep enough to provide either the volume or filter ability for drinking water.
Its called jetting and only works in sand or dirt. Hit rock your not going tru it. All if its a low water table.
