You will need some well casing if you ever need to pull the pump.
Wish ground was not rock. Not a chance this would work. Also highly illegal in most states due to large potential for contamination of the ground water.

To get into a water aquifer you need to go THROUGH a rock layer. Then you need a casing down TO the rock layer so your water stays clean. This video is total C**p! It should be $#%&!@*led “How to make a useless mud hole.”
Lots of wells are 100 plus feet deep to have reliable water supply. There are two on the farm I manage, one is 150′ deep the other is 275′ deep, BOTH go through solid rock!
U obviously don’t live in Delaware county upstate NY. Bedrock !!!

only problem i see is you need 2 water supply to drill a hole for water
