Or I could run down to Lowe’s or Menard’s and buy 30′ of steel pipe, a well point, and a post driver and drive a well the right way. Could rent a jack hammer and drive it that much quicker…This is so dumb.
I drilled mine the same way here in north Carolina.
People here do this all the time first 20 foot gets casing and a check valve at the bottom.
Interesting, since my current well is over 800 feet deep.

Not very practical in some areas. If you pay for utilities (water and sewer) from a town or city supply, they won’t allow it unless you have your own private sewer system (septic tank and drain field) because what you are charged is in most cases based on how much water you use.
