Shallow wells are not for drinking. they work great for watering a garden or the lawn. I never drilled one this way but I’ve driven helped drive a 40 ft. pipe before.
Got to be sure its tested though for contamination. If you live near agriculture or industry beware.
all good points people posted. I saw this video a while back. It’s in florida where the water table is very low. The water will be hard and corrosive as well. But it can all be accomplished with effort and a few resources.
It works in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. Our son drilled a well in his back yard to help water his garden. There is not law against it.
We have 45 ft well professional drilled, our state requires them to be gps registered with state. has been tested by water resources board once but they keep bugging us to let them monitor water level. It is making me leary of them. We don’t drink it although we could. My husband was oilfield driller and him and his friend attempted to do our own well with small well rig, came close to succeeding but not as easy as you think.
