The restaurant Sneakers Bistro in Local Winooski, Vermont has removed a sign that had the word ‘bacon’ due to Muslim opposition.
In a Facebook post, the restaurant issued the following statement, ““We are here to serve people BREAKFAST, not politics. We removed the sign that was located on public property as a gesture of respect for our diverse community. There were also concerns raised about safety (emphasis added). Removing it was not a difficult decision. We still love bacon. We still love eggs. Please have the political conversation elsewhere.”
Is the ‘safety’ factor the restaurant cited due to their fear of what would happen if they didn’t remove ‘bacon’ from their sign?

if you can’t take the heat stay out of it, in otherwise if you own a restaurant you do things to please people , yes but, you can’t please them all and that is not reason enough to change your store policy!
If the restaurant was threatened if they didn’t take the sign down, then they have every right to have those people arrested, and deported. It’s about TIME we start doing this! This is America, for Pete’s freaking sake. It’s a melting pot of ALL nations, but NO one has the ‘right’ to tell others what they can or cannot do with their OWN garden, and sign! Bacon is FOOD, and YES Americans eat bacon. If you don’t like it, missy, then go back to where you came from! The entire town should have a bacon frying day, so missy can smell the bacon, all day long!
