The restaurant Sneakers Bistro in Local Winooski, Vermont has removed a sign that had the word ‘bacon’ due to Muslim opposition.
In a Facebook post, the restaurant issued the following statement, ““We are here to serve people BREAKFAST, not politics. We removed the sign that was located on public property as a gesture of respect for our diverse community. There were also concerns raised about safety (emphasis added). Removing it was not a difficult decision. We still love bacon. We still love eggs. Please have the political conversation elsewhere.”
Is the ‘safety’ factor the restaurant cited due to their fear of what would happen if they didn’t remove ‘bacon’ from their sign?
TELL THEM TO GO BACK WHERE THEY CAME FROM.
It would be a different country today if we removed all that offends us about the Muslim faith. They are protected by our constitution.
The Muslims who come here need to get used to our country…….and if they don’t want bacon, don’t order it. Simple. We don’t have to change our country for the guests.
