The restaurant Sneakers Bistro in Local Winooski, Vermont has removed a sign that had the word ‘bacon’ due to Muslim opposition.
In a Facebook post, the restaurant issued the following statement, ““We are here to serve people BREAKFAST, not politics. We removed the sign that was located on public property as a gesture of respect for our diverse community. There were also concerns raised about safety (emphasis added). Removing it was not a difficult decision. We still love bacon. We still love eggs. Please have the political conversation elsewhere.”
Is the ‘safety’ factor the restaurant cited due to their fear of what would happen if they didn’t remove ‘bacon’ from their sign?
stupid resteraunt owner then should be educated on how to deal w/ muslims correctly, instead of taking it down hold a weekly bacon day 🙂
I thought this was the land of the FREE??!!!!! If the Muslims are offended they can get the $#%&!@* out!!!! They offend my every time I go to the Mayo Clinic in MN. All I see is Muslim women covered from head to toe and you can only see their eyes…..Very offensive!!!! I’m sure it would be easy enough to find somewhere else to eat. No longer any need to dine at Sneakers.
Next you wont be allowed to cook bacon, ham or pork. Screw them and put up a big bacon and eggs sign. This is America, if they don’t like it move back home. Put up a big cross as well.

If the restaurant was worried about safety, I guarantee if they had asked for volunteers to keep an eye out, that place woulda been safer than the gold at FT Knox.
