The restaurant Sneakers Bistro in Local Winooski, Vermont has removed a sign that had the word ‘bacon’ due to Muslim opposition.
In a Facebook post, the restaurant issued the following statement, ““We are here to serve people BREAKFAST, not politics. We removed the sign that was located on public property as a gesture of respect for our diverse community. There were also concerns raised about safety (emphasis added). Removing it was not a difficult decision. We still love bacon. We still love eggs. Please have the political conversation elsewhere.”
Is the ‘safety’ factor the restaurant cited due to their fear of what would happen if they didn’t remove ‘bacon’ from their sign?

We had BACON long before we heard of Muslims, why let them dictate to us? Keep the sign up. You may lose customers if you don’t.
If you don’t like the sign, move back to Tehran.
This is what is wrong about America, everyone is offended. Next the grocery will have to cover up the packages of bacon in the store. Put them in a special place so no one can be offended. I would think the most scariest thing about this is the restaurant has to be afraid of a religious group. What is wrong with your religion when people are afraid it!!!!! Do we have to be afraid if we eat meat on Friday? Do we have to be afraid if I eat a piece of beef from the back of the cow? I would say NO!!!! but we have to be afraid of Muslims. Might want to ask the question why we have to be afraid of you religion!!!!!
