The restaurant Sneakers Bistro in Local Winooski, Vermont has removed a sign that had the word ‘bacon’ due to Muslim opposition.
In a Facebook post, the restaurant issued the following statement, ““We are here to serve people BREAKFAST, not politics. We removed the sign that was located on public property as a gesture of respect for our diverse community. There were also concerns raised about safety (emphasis added). Removing it was not a difficult decision. We still love bacon. We still love eggs. Please have the political conversation elsewhere.”
Is the ‘safety’ factor the restaurant cited due to their fear of what would happen if they didn’t remove ‘bacon’ from their sign?
i would never deny someones right to not eat bacon….however they dont have the right to deny me the right of eating it either….thats what USED to make this a free country….sadly thats no longer the case….smdh
