The restaurant Sneakers Bistro in Local Winooski, Vermont has removed a sign that had the word ‘bacon’ due to Muslim opposition.
In a Facebook post, the restaurant issued the following statement, ““We are here to serve people BREAKFAST, not politics. We removed the sign that was located on public property as a gesture of respect for our diverse community. There were also concerns raised about safety (emphasis added). Removing it was not a difficult decision. We still love bacon. We still love eggs. Please have the political conversation elsewhere.”
Is the ‘safety’ factor the restaurant cited due to their fear of what would happen if they didn’t remove ‘bacon’ from their sign?

This is a country of Freedom of Speech and Freedom of Religion……if we have to curtail our Freedom of Speech then will they have to curtail their Freedom of Religion?????
The owners of this restaurant are cowards!! The muslims are as bad as the atheists!! This America and we should not be giving into any one sect!!! Put your sign back up!!!!!

In fairness then all halal signs should be removed. It is against Christian beliefs.
I’m supportive of their Freedom of Religion so they should be supportive of our Freedom of Speech……..this is just SO WRONG in so many ways!!
