The restaurant Sneakers Bistro in Local Winooski, Vermont has removed a sign that had the word ‘bacon’ due to Muslim opposition.
In a Facebook post, the restaurant issued the following statement, ““We are here to serve people BREAKFAST, not politics. We removed the sign that was located on public property as a gesture of respect for our diverse community. There were also concerns raised about safety (emphasis added). Removing it was not a difficult decision. We still love bacon. We still love eggs. Please have the political conversation elsewhere.”
Is the ‘safety’ factor the restaurant cited due to their fear of what would happen if they didn’t remove ‘bacon’ from their sign?
Listen, this is the USA and we eat bacon for the most part. If they don’t like it, don’t eat at that restaurant. Does that mean that the grocery stores must stop selling bacon, ham or other piggy products? This is not their country and if our culture and our laws offends them, they can leave.
Well I say put the sign back up cause it offends me that they took it down
When are we going to STOP catering to and cowering from these intruders to OUR country and OUR way of living? F%$# THEM!!!!
