The restaurant Sneakers Bistro in Local Winooski, Vermont has removed a sign that had the word ‘bacon’ due to Muslim opposition.
In a Facebook post, the restaurant issued the following statement, ““We are here to serve people BREAKFAST, not politics. We removed the sign that was located on public property as a gesture of respect for our diverse community. There were also concerns raised about safety (emphasis added). Removing it was not a difficult decision. We still love bacon. We still love eggs. Please have the political conversation elsewhere.”
Is the ‘safety’ factor the restaurant cited due to their fear of what would happen if they didn’t remove ‘bacon’ from their sign?

The immigrants who came to this country legally many years ago learned to assimilate and accept the customs of those who were already here. They learned to speak English, worked hard to make a living and a life. They didn’t complain, or demand special treatment! What the $@&& has happened to this nation, where it has become almost a law to kiss the hind ends of a “select” group…I won’t name it, because there’s no need to, as everybody, everywhere knows who I mean!!! If they don’t like it here, they can go back to the hell hole they came from…I’ll gladly chip in to pat their way.
