The American people have made it abundantly clear that they want the system of government envisioned by the Founding Fathers, but the country remains mired in the practices that characterize our modern, statist government.
Originally, the United States was intended to uphold individualist values, as evidenced by the repeated references to the rights of citizens to, among other things, freedom of speech, religion, and self-defense in the constitution. The idea was that by building upon this blueprint, we would be able to work towards a perfect understanding of liberty.
Today, however, nothing could be further from the truth: the power of government, which is expressly circumscribed in the country’s founding documents, is virtually unrestrained. Regulation is out of control and law enforcement is able to behave as it sees fit. Fortunately, it seems that many are finally fed up with this authoritarian state of affairs.

I am for traffic safety and there are things that have to be enforced like cutting people off speeding up why you want to change lanes and people that blow through stop signs not people Delete repeated word doing 61 on 55 mile high way or roll through a deserted wide open intersection.
We have to ask if the automated methods lead more to increasing government revenue or public safety.
Joe Creaney Yes. I refuse to wear a helmet on either a bicycle or a motorcycle. If the law requires it in the place I am using either, I simply will ride on one. The Left-wingers are extremist, control freaks: In Vermont, one has to wear a helmet when riding a horse! And the Liberals tried to make it a law for skiers! It would have wrecked much of the Vermont economy.
Simple question are the primary benefits increase in revenue or is there significant safety improvements? We then have to ask about the increased costs and time to comply with every rule.
Joe Creaney Well, you know how Left-wingers are: They dredge up extremely rare horror stories, and then claim “compassion” because they never want anything like this to ever happen again. So, the entire society has to capitulate to their stupid regulations, regulations, regulations. I see that Donald J. Trump is on a campaign of the most massive de-regulation. probably in our entire history. Great news!
I don’t agree 100% biking never unless I some plan to do some crazy tricks, motorcycle I would wear one if I ever got on one. The point of road rules are for safety sake and standardization so we all act in predictable ways. Many of the rules are very good guild lines but do they need to be enforced for their own sake or have some criteria for taking people off the road that are dangers to others. Back to the can communities have zoning?
They know that before they used our money to put them all up unbelievable the government is such wasteful
Just obey traffic laws!
I think there is an element of control in some of them but we live in such a safe and coddled world that any physical risk terrifies people. Look at over the decades the many things that have gone away because of rare freak accidents. These automated enforcement methods provide a level of comfort to some where a few miles an hour will make the difference if I plow into someone not the many other factors.
So, Jason Arp Purvis, using your own profound reaching powers of critical thought and deductive reasoning, we should ban automobile’s ? Just curious about your thoughts on that, since you chose to use the comparison of guns to automobile’s, which I find an interesting comparison.
