It is becoming routine for police in some states to collect the DNA of people at random. Referred to as “stop and spit,” the practice involves swabbing the inside of someone’s mouth then sending off the sample for analysis. The results are then stored in a database.
It’s put forth as a way of potentially reducing crime. Of course, is a complete violation of the Fourth Amendment’s protection against unlawful searches. The old Marxist propaganda of giving up one’s freedom for security is a tried and true method of collapsing a free society under despotic rule.

Months behind on doing Dna tests. They aren’t going to do them unless there is a case to be made. Plus , cops have better things to do than all of the paperwork that goes with submitting something to the crime lab. There is also a large cost to process

Hillsdale county Michigan is doing this they ate part of a pilot program taking random mouth swaps with out cause or warrent just based on if an officer wants to give u one or not.. they are planning to test the data and make it law next.
