It is becoming routine for police in some states to collect the DNA of people at random. Referred to as “stop and spit,” the practice involves swabbing the inside of someone’s mouth then sending off the sample for analysis. The results are then stored in a database.
It’s put forth as a way of potentially reducing crime. Of course, is a complete violation of the Fourth Amendment’s protection against unlawful searches. The old Marxist propaganda of giving up one’s freedom for security is a tried and true method of collapsing a free society under despotic rule.

It is not illegal. If you read the story they are asking for the Dna swabs in typical cop fashion. It appears that you dont have a choice but you do. You have to know your rights and just keep refusing. There is no law that says they can’t ask you and if you are stupid enough to give it then that’s your own ignorance at fault. The same thing applies to your phone they will ask you to unlock it so they can look at it if you do you are giving them consent to search. Don’t do it period. Learn your rights and assert them.
