It is becoming routine for police in some states to collect the DNA of people at random. Referred to as “stop and spit,” the practice involves swabbing the inside of someone’s mouth then sending off the sample for analysis. The results are then stored in a database.
It’s put forth as a way of potentially reducing crime. Of course, is a complete violation of the Fourth Amendment’s protection against unlawful searches. The old Marxist propaganda of giving up one’s freedom for security is a tried and true method of collapsing a free society under despotic rule.

Burglars often don’t even always leave fingerprints let alone DNA samples for comparison in the database. How does having a DNA database reduce burglaries?

My car got broken into and they did this to me in order to separate my DNA from that of the perpetrators, never felt so violated in my life. I still feel as if my rights were violated.
