It is becoming routine for police in some states to collect the DNA of people at random. Referred to as “stop and spit,” the practice involves swabbing the inside of someone’s mouth then sending off the sample for analysis. The results are then stored in a database.
It’s put forth as a way of potentially reducing crime. Of course, is a complete violation of the Fourth Amendment’s protection against unlawful searches. The old Marxist propaganda of giving up one’s freedom for security is a tried and true method of collapsing a free society under despotic rule.

Norma Cunningham, how many innocent people were convicted? It’s very easy for eye witnesses to be wrong and it has happened many, many times. Without DNA, it’s pretty much he said she said unless you have tangible evidence of some kind. I’m not saying this is OK just pointing out the flaw in your argument.
You have the option to say no. That’s what the 4th amendment is for. They can’t force you to give up your DNA without probable cause AND a warrant. My response will always be “absolutely no”.
