It is becoming routine for police in some states to collect the DNA of people at random. Referred to as “stop and spit,” the practice involves swabbing the inside of someone’s mouth then sending off the sample for analysis. The results are then stored in a database.
It’s put forth as a way of potentially reducing crime. Of course, is a complete violation of the Fourth Amendment’s protection against unlawful searches. The old Marxist propaganda of giving up one’s freedom for security is a tried and true method of collapsing a free society under despotic rule.

It IS a big deal. The leap from passive disintrest to intrusive collection is inches at best. There are hundreds of examples of your rights being trampled on due to simple ignorance of laws, every day. Hold strong to that 4th Amendment. The law is your sword, the Constitution, your shield.
They will push the limit to do the most effective job. Your job, is to know the law, and know the Constitution.
Its kind of like a drug test. If something happens and DNA is found, if you don’t match you don’t have to be harassed and questioned because you didn’t do it. Makes cases easier and quicker to solve. If you aren’t guilty there’s no problem.
