It is becoming routine for police in some states to collect the DNA of people at random. Referred to as “stop and spit,” the practice involves swabbing the inside of someone’s mouth then sending off the sample for analysis. The results are then stored in a database.
It’s put forth as a way of potentially reducing crime. Of course, is a complete violation of the Fourth Amendment’s protection against unlawful searches. The old Marxist propaganda of giving up one’s freedom for security is a tried and true method of collapsing a free society under despotic rule.

I remember reading about a case in a small town where they asked men to submit to be tested so they could rule them out,they could opt out if they wanted to.That being said ,there was a case in Canada that was solved by the dna of a cat.

Don’t know if this is true or not, but I heard when you do a DNA search through Ancestry, that Ancestry turns those DNA results over to a law enforcement data base.

It all gets filed in many databases. Cia,nsa, FBI etc.
The cops need a search warrant to get a DNA sample. But if they are watching you for some reason and you happen to throw a coffee cup or soft drink cut in the trash they can take it and get your DNA that way
