It’s not as simplistic as you assume, Leo. It’s not a matter of signatures on a petition. The House of Representatives must pass articles of impeachment. The Senate then sits as a jury. It requires a 2/3 vote (67) to convict and remove the president from office. With the Senate majority in favor of the Democratic Party they’d never vote to convict one of their own.
Short of open revolution or egregious “treason, high crimes or misdemeanors” committed by the president, impeachment is probably off the table. Our Congress is extremely lacking in political will and courage.
