When Congress passed the Intelligence Authorization Act for 2015, it granted the executive branch not only the ability to spy on American citizens private communications, but also the legal authority to turn that information over to local law enforcement.
All of this can be done without any court order being granted, all in the name of ‘fighting terror’, of course.

and yes it does matter. trading liberty for security is not something I have ever voted in favor of, because I refuse to live in fear, the the govt fear peddling doesn’t work on me. when its my time to go, god with direct me to the correct time and place. that could be on the front porch at 90, or a terrorist blast at 38, my time is my time. but no one has the right to unlimited warrantless wiretaps because they feel they should have it, which is exactly what has happened
